Green Hills Software delivers a variety of solutions, ranging from software development tools to Real Time Operating Systems in combination with communication stacks, 2D and 3D graphical stacks and custom built driver packages.
As a software development engineer, you work in small agile teams creating custom software solutions for our customers, porting and adapting Green Hills Software products to the customer’s hardware and developing new drivers or integrating them with products from software partners.
These can be smaller projects spanning only a couple of months, but for our safety certified solutions the development cycle ranges from one to two years.
The majority of customers for which you will create custom certified software solution is in the automotive sector where the certification standard is ISO-26262.
Applications range from instrument clusters to driver assist system with optical, Lidar or Radar for distance control, lane keeping or park assist. This field of engineering is steadily progressing and setting new standards for safety and security technology. You will work with the engineering teams of world top brand car manufacturers and their system suppliers to build software for the next generations of cars.
You will work with highly trained and skilled colleagues in an informal atmosphere where you can learn and further develop your career. Most of your future colleagues are either electrical engineers or computer science graduates (BSc or MSc)
Desired Skills and Experience
- C/C++ programming
- Python, git, software configuration management tools

- Able and willing to work in a mixed Windows/Linux environment

- Stamina to develop drivers for new and fresh silicon
- Willing and able to work in an international team with colleagues in different GHS offices
- Experienced Engineers work on customer locations from time to time (project startup or delivery)
- Able to switch between high level design tasks and the hands-on testing and debug work to get systems to run and perform to their specification.
